The need for energy and motivation is overwhelmed by this depressing feeling. When narcissists begin to feel depressed, they will give in to the belief that they will not be able to do anything else. They may have felt that they never had anything in their life, goals, plans, or ideas to do with themselves. It becomes increasingly impossible for narcissists to imagine any future or see what things in their lives are too late to change.
