Number 2. Emotional Pain and Weakness
When the narcissists get in contact with emotions they don’t know how to define, it can be all-consuming. They can’t manage emotional mastery as a requirement and find humiliation and insecurity when the situation doesn’t meet expectations. Emotional pain most time comes as a result of egotistic desires hidden from the surface. The breakdown of narcissism deprives them of their cloak of superiority, and feelings of hollowness and shame perceived as weakness show.
Number 3. Rage
During a narcissistic breakdown, the narcissist will be extremely angry. This anger is due to a lack of understanding of their feelings. Unlike normal individuals, narcissists cannot manage their reactions and thus end up venting. This venting is in the form of screaming or aggressive outbursts, while in extreme cases, they will resort to violence or bullying if they are unable to get control of their feelings.
Number 4. Impulsive Responses
Upon a threat to their carefully constructed sense of self, narcissists are impulsive. Their narcissistic nature is hyperinflated in a collapse, causing them to behave irrationally as they try to reassert authority. This impulsive nature has a way of making awkwardly executed moves that can undo their fabricated stories and leave them all the more vulnerable.
