They will find something to hate in the very things the rest of the world adores: the things that make people feel warm, safe, and connected. They’re miserable, so they see misery everywhere. They hate everything full of life or colors because they are lifeless inside.

Number 1: Cats
Not all narcissists hate cats, but many do. Some will even go out of their way to post pictures with them, holding them like props in front of others or calling themselves cat lovers because it paints a particular image. But if you scratch just beneath the surface, you will find a pattern: many narcissists are deeply triggered by cats. Why? Because cats do not play by anyone’s rules. They choose when they want affection; they come and go on their terms. They do not perform tricks to please; they do not beg. They’re sovereign. That is what drives a narcissist mad.
