When we speak of a narcissist losing their hold, crumbling, most individuals envision screaming battles, melodramatic moments, or loud, boisterous breakdowns. But what I have come to understand is that their breakdown is not always so. It’s not always melodramatic, violent, and loud. Sometimes it’s just quiet, suggested, and it manifests in strange ways.
I’m referring to uncomfortable silences, pompous posturing, and contradictions. That’s because the narcissist is not only losing control of other people but also losing control over their performance. The fake self they had constructed begins to disintegrate, and they have no idea how to maintain its facade anymore in public.
So what do they do? They turn to odd coping mechanisms in public things that appear minor but belt out shame and insecurity once you learn to notice.
So today’s topic is six public narcissistic things. These are the loser things they don’t even realize they’re doing. But if you’ve ever witnessed a narcissist slowly losing their cool in a public setting, this is going to hit you so hard.
