If you’re receiving random gifts from an unknown sender, your narcissistic ex may be stalking you. Narcissists are known to be possessive, and they’re also known to want to control their victims. The gifts could be anything from flowers to jewelry, but they will be expensive and extravagant.
The narcissist wants to impress you to ensure you don’t forget about them or move on from them. However, if the gift is inappropriate or sends a message that makes you uncomfortable, it’s probably from your narcissistic exes.
Your narcissistic ex may even try to send something anonymously so that you don’t realize who’s sending it. The best thing you can do if this happens is to notify the sender that you do not wish to receive any more gifts. If they persist, contact the police immediately and let them know what’s happening.
Number 3: They call you an ex expectedly.
The phone rings, and you don’t recognize the number you pick up, and it’s your narcissistic ex. Narcissists often have difficulty with boundaries, so after a breakup, they might try to get in touch with their exes for no reason other than to keep tabs on them.
This can be especially concerning if they call at odd hours, or repeatedly call in a short period. They may also call to let you know their thoughts on you. This might sound sweet at first glance, but it can be hazardous if you’re trying to move on from a narcissistic relationship.
Suppose your ex is calling unexpectedly and seems more interested in keeping in touch than anything else. In that case, narcissistic exes may be trying to manipulate you into getting back together, so they can continue their abusive Behavior.
If this happens, you mustn’t engage in a conversation with them. If they start asking questions, try to change the subject or just say you’re busy and have to go.
